I have been taking pills for over 7 years and have gone through several different ones. I switched to this pill about 3 months ago and all I had was incredible mood swings and hot sweats...I couldn't understand why I was feeling so down and low, had trouble sleeping, increasing anxiety...then I looked back and realized that it all started when I started taking this pill. I haven't experienced this before with any other form of pills, so I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

I started taking these pills to ease heavy cycles. At first I thought I hit the jackpot as I didn't experience any of the usual side effects like nausea etc. After about 2-3 days I started having issues with nose bleeds. I thought it was because of the dry heat, no big deal. I'll use a humidifier and keep my nose moist. A few days later I looked at my nose and felt like a shot had hit me in the nose, so I went to the ER. I was basically told to do everything I was already doing and there was no improvement. I stopped taking the pills and now, after almost 3 days off the pills, the inside of my nose looks like a nose, not a crime scene!

I strongly do not recommend this contraception (e.g. for reasons of brevity). While this works for some people, it didn't work for me and most others. after only 2 and a half weeks I had to stop taking this pill immediately. I have heavy periods due to other medications I need to take but after talking to one of the doctors I see often for my thyroid condition he advised BC to stop my heavy periods now they are very irregular and it may take 2 months appear in a week. at first the pill was fine until after two weeks I started getting dizzy, then stomachaches and headaches. I didn't think much of it until I started having cramps, hips, legs, arms, hands, calves, everything. I've had major mood swings ranging from happiness to severe depression which is not good coming back to this state after spending almost 4 years trying to get out of this state. then I got my period which this time came after 2 weeks and it was very unusual to say the least. the last few days were the worst and i knew i couldn't take this pill anymore when i fell asleep in public because this pill was so exhausting i couldn't walk without pain,

I recently started taking these pills but stopped them two days ago. For the first week I felt perfectly fine, then in the last month I felt the worst anxiety I have ever experienced, other than heartbreak. And I'll add... I've never had such a problem in my life. After this pill and many trials with others, I am completely done with BC. It changes you chemically and I hate it!

Terrible for me personally. Everyone's body is different, but after reading the reviews, many of my symptoms were shared with other Loestein fe users. I had nausea, acne on the temples (rash!), low sex drive, anxiety, can't sleep/anxiety, dizziness, etc. I waited 5-6 months before closing the deal today!

I have been taking Lo Loestrin Fe for about a year and a half. At first, I noticed acne on my arms and back, which didn't really bother me. That's why I had my period every two months. It freaked me out at first. Then my hair started falling out and about 6 months ago I stopped menstruating. I can't lose weight because I've gained weight and I still feel bloated. I am a slim and active person and have never had a weight problem until last year. I've also had more migraines since taking Lo Lo. I finally take it off and switch to the POP "mini-pill". On the other hand, it worked - I never got pregnant!

The first week was fine, no symptoms. In the second week I noticed big mood swings, I wanted to punch everyone and then cry about it. Week 3, HUGE symptoms! Nausea, vomiting, LACK of appetite, headaches, feeling overwhelmed and burning. I felt terrible! When I managed to fall asleep, I too had crazy, vivid dreams. I gained 3 pounds in ONE week. I realized that only this pill had changed recently and I immediately stopped taking it. Then my symptoms slowly subsided. This birth control is terrible! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

I first went to Lo Loestrin Fe when I was 17 for incredibly painful contractions. The doctor told me to start next Sunday, so I started and made a huge mistake. I had to wait until the Sunday after my period for it to start because with the first side effects I had (cramps, nausea, breast tenderness) and actual period symptoms when my period came it was like my normal symptoms multiplied by 100 and that it was hell. Then the emotions subside, I fight people, I'm naughty, and then I cry for nothing. I stopped taking this contraceptive because of the crazy mood swings it causes. However, remember that contraception affects everyone differently and my experience wasn't good, but that doesn't mean yours won't be good. Hope it helped :)

I took Junel Fe for several years but switched to Lo Loestrin Fe 1/20 due to nausea. Soon after doing this, I noticed that my hair started falling out. After 3 months of using the drug and increasing hair loss, I decided to stop using it. My hair has been falling out for 3 months and I have visible spots on my scalp. Don't take this contraceptive. It is rich in androgens and has had a big impact on my self-esteem. I wish I had never changed and started taking it.

Because of this contraception last December I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. Please note that I am a healthy young woman in my twenties and have been taking this BC for 3 years. and I don't smoke. No period for 3 years was a good solution. But having a blood clot in the right lung and taking blood thinners for the rest of your life for contraception? No thanks.

I have been taking loestrin for about 7-8 months and during that time I experienced the worst mood swings, anxiety attacks and depressive episodes. I haven't been this bad since high school. My period became more irregular than before, I had spotting, I didn't have my period for 5 MONTHS and when I got it it was absolutely disgusting and heavy. I do not recommend this for people suffering from anxiety, depression or mental illness.

I was nervous after reading the reviews and it was also my first contraceptive. The side effects were minimal - my main concern was weight gain, which didn't apply to me. In fact, I think it has helped combat the bloating/weight gain that comes with my usual PMS symptoms. When I started taking the pill, I had mild spotting and severe, occasional headaches for a few days. But after the second/third week they are gone. There are no leaks either - I'll stick to that

I started taking it about 8 months ago and I have to say it's the worst contraception I've ever used. My mood was very bad and my chest hurt for the first three months. In fact, my period has become heavier and much more frequent. For example, at the end of the second week, I will have heavy spotting until the fourth week, and then I will have my period. My acne is much worse. I had cystic acne for a month and now I have it all the time. I can't wait to get off this contraceptive at this rate. If it bothers me that much, I'll use condoms.

I have been at Lo Letrin for about two years. It was great at first. I started taking it because I had incredibly heavy periods, which got worse after my second child. Now I have heavy night sweats for the entire week of my period AND the entire week of ovulation. I am having light bleeding during ovulation. Sometimes menstruation is very light for 2-3 months, then the next month it is very heavy. Right now I am making the connection between my symptoms and BC. My main concern with these pills is bleeding during ovulation. I feel like I have a period every two weeks.

I had irregular periods and tried not to get pregnant again, my husband and I were not ready for another. So my doctor recommended it and it was downhill from there. I told her about my symptoms and she told me to start taking them in the evening which didn't help. He said give him time. Which must have done more damage than I thought. So I took it for two months. This caused my gallbladder to stop working and I became seriously ill. This caused more gallstones to appear. I felt sick, nauseous, etc. It was awful. Even getting out of it was the worst. I ended up having to have my gallbladder removed. I have found that this is rare, but problems with the gallbladder or liver may occur with this contraceptive. Be careful with any contraceptives as they are not for everyone. I am not using contraceptives and have recovered from surgery. All the symptoms are gone, even the migraines I used to have all the time.

My obstetrician recommended this because previous contraception was causing me a low sex drive. I took it for two whole months and experienced terrible and intense mood swings (I read the reviews but didn't think it would happen to me). My cramps came back when I got my period (haven't had them since birth). inspection two years earlier), and experienced several (2-3) short periods a month. I made an appointment to change to something else. I do not recommend Loloestrin Fe to anyone.

It changed my life. The first three months exhausted me, but I was actually less hungry and lost weight. I overcame my fatigue and I'm glad I did. I started this due to heavy bleeding and my period stopped for several months except for occasional spotting. No colic, no heavy bleeding, no babies. recommended.

I started taking Lo Loestrin Fe about three years ago and it really has made my life so much better. I haven't had a period or spotting since I started. That's 3 years of not spending money on products, crying from period pain and physical illness. If you're worried about being pregnant, you can have some home pregnancy tests available at the store for a dollar just in case (they're FDA-regulated and safe). I am very happy that I found this pill and hope to stick with it for a long time. The only side effects I experienced were increased anxiety (diagnosed as anxiety at first) and acne, as well as a slight weight gain. It is worth avoiding 7-10 days of terrible pain that I felt every 30 days.

Of course, I tried various methods of contraception to control my acne and relieve my excruciatingly painful cramps, which had gotten worse over the past few years. My doctor prescribed it to me when my period became unbearable while taking Yaz. It's helped me gain 25 pounds, have huge, ugly stretch marks on my thighs, and my acne hasn't improved. But my period has stopped completely!! I have light spotting and barely noticeable cramping but no bleeding. It's been great, but I'm tired of not being able to get rid of this burden. I have been exercising and dieting with no change in my weight, so I am considering switching to a different contraceptive.

I was switched to this contraceptive due to cramps caused by my previous contraception. I experienced: mood swings, headaches, lack of energy, light bleeding and weight gain of 4 pounds. It was done in 3 weeks! I stopped taking it and got a call for my old contraceptive. I prefer to deal with these side effects.

So... I originally participated in Tri-sprintec, but I felt terrible! I went to the doctor and he prescribed it for me. I never felt bad BUT in 4 months I gained 20 pounds! It's never happened to me before. I also get a period when the package says I should and it is very light, but then it starts again in the middle of the package and is much worse and lasts much longer. I'm not sure what's causing this but I think I'm going to change the IUD soon. I hope that's better.

I only took this pill for 5 days and oh I couldn't take it anymore!!! It made me feel really depressed and nauseous, it made me throw up!! I also got acne, but I don't have acne and it happened only after 5 days of taking it!!! It was terrible, not to mention the recommendation to take it on the day your period starts... but everyone told me to start a week after the breakup, but Yanno wouldn't listen... I don't know, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it no more of this my life became hell like i was sick all week i was taking it... my contractions were so strong too i was taking up to 6 midols a day and so on i had to miss some school worst experience of my life I was very emotional too. I cried about 2 times a day, this is no joke!!! I'm not being dramatic!!

First of all, I want to thank everyone who shared their opinion, especially those who said that this pill stopped their period. I was very nervous when this happened to me, and I don't like change. Call me crazy, but I like period "proof" and would rather deal with the discomfort for a few days to get it. I've been taking these pills for a year now and haven't had a period for the first 4 months, then had a period for 2 and then nothing! I don't have any side effects from this pill, I don't have cramps, my mood is quite good apart from a few worse days. I've been taking Tricyclen, Tricyclen Lo and they both got me on my period but I was very fussy and depressed and 90% of the time I wasn't feeling well so I highly recommend this Loestrin Loestrin!

I love this contraceptive. I have tried different methods of contraception over the years and could not find one that worked. Everything had a lot of hormones in it and that's what my body told me. Listen to your body, if you think you need more hormones, this low dose pill may not be the best choice. For someone like me, it was the taste of life. I don't even have my period anymore, I don't have any side effects. occasional nassau or irritability. Nothing important or coherent. I've lost even more weight and it's hard for me to gain weight.

It's always nice to read reviews of birth control pills! It's always bad experiences that get people to write reviews so I'd say take everything with a grain of salt! This pill saved my life. I had an endo and after an excision my gynecologist recommended Visanne which didn't work for me so it was her second choice and she was amazing! I've been taking it for 3 years now, no side effects other than a more balanced mood (I had depression and anxiety before) and some vaginal dryness, it was a little harder to maintain the weight BUT it's definitely better than being in extreme pain situations, constant bleeding and an emotional rollercoaster. I take this pill constantly, non-stop, every month, which is great for me. Give it a try, it might be right for you.

I have been taking these pills for about three years now. Of course, everyone's body is unique and reacts differently, but I definitely wanted to share my experience after seeing all the negative reviews. I don't think I had any major side effects when I started - I didn't gain weight and had clear skin the whole time I was on the pill, no acne breakouts other than the occasional pimple or two here and there. I started taking the pill because I had terrible periods, but after taking the pills they stopped completely. As far as emotions go, I think it may be a bit prone to anxiety and mood swings, but to be honest, I haven't noticed anything worrisome. Overall, I think it's a great contraceptive for anyone wanting low-dose contraception, especially if you're sick of dealing with your period! It worked for me, with few if any noticeable side effects.
